MLE (Emily Spiller) comes from a family of artists in Victoria BC, Canada. Elvis Presley, Joni Mitchell, Harry Nilsson and Tchaikovsky were the first to grab her ears and seep into her soul while she learned to walk and talk. At an early age, she sang in choirs and played the saxophone and clarinet in school. She fell in love with Jazz; Ella Fitzgerald, Chet Baker, Charlie Parker...the list went on. Emily moved to Vancouver in 1997, where she began writing music, singing and performing with local bands.
